Will Bass is a fisheries biologist at Avista Utilities, where he oversees the monitoring and evaluation of the newly completed Cabinet Gorge Fish Passage Facility on the lower Clark Fork River. His work focuses on the intersection of hydropower operations and native fish recovery. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Auburn University and a M.S. in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Ecology from New Mexico State University, where his thesis research examined species introductions and water scarcity in the Rio Grande. Will has worked on fisheries and environmental conservation projects across the country, from the Florida Everglades to Southeast Alaska, and lives in Noxon with his girlfriend and two dogs. He currently serves on the Noxon Public School District Board of Trustees.
