HAMILTON, Mont. – The Western Montana Conservation Commission (WMCC) will hold its next two-day meeting on Wednesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Bitterroot River Inn & Conference Center in Hamilton.
The Commission will provide information about their ongoing stormwater, wastewater, aquatic invasive species and education projects. The first day of the meeting will conclude with a presentation from the Bitterroot Water Partnership on their restoration projects in the region, and a field trip to Skalkaho Bend Park.
“We’re excited to highlight how restoration efforts at Hamilton’s Skalkaho Bend Park, along North Burnt Fork Creek and at Tolan Creek address some of the greatest concerns facing our waters,” said Alex Ocañas of the Bitterroot Water Partnership. “A dynamic group of partners, donors, volunteers and other Bitterroot residents have made these impacts possible, and we look forward to sharing successes on their behalf.”
